Wireless Honeywell CM900 slimline programmable room thermostat, designed for installers and users
Stylish and easy to use, yet very simple to install and set up

The CM900 energy-saving slimline programmable room thermostat from Honeywell with its extra-large ‘Line of Text’ user display is now available in a wireless version, carefully designed with installers and users in mind: stylish and easy to use, yet very simple to install and set up. It provides up to six time/temperature changes per day to match temperatures with lifestyles, and three comfort-enhancing, energy-saving overrides at the touch of a button.
The new wireless CM900 has no wiring between the thermostat and boiler controller, so it is quick and easy to install: no unsightly wires to run, no cable holes to drill and no damage to home decorations.
Wireless CM900 with its ultra-clear, backlit LCD display can be used with radiator and underfloor heating, with gas or oil fired boilers including condensing and combination models, as well as electric heating or cooling systems.
It is easy to use and set up, using straightforward buttons and a big LCD screen which shows clear English text, not obscure pictures.
Its three convenient, comfort-enhancing and energy-saving overrides, selected with a single button touch, are:
“Holiday” – reduces the temperature to save energy, yet keeps the chill off if necessary, while the property is unoccupied for up to 99 days; normal temperature control resumes automatically on the day of return.
“Party” – provides a temporary setpoint override, for up to 23 hours when it returns automatically to normal operation.
“Day off’ – runs Sunday’s program for up to 99 days after which it will automatically return to normal operation, so avoiding the need to reprogram the controller when staying at home during the working week.
The controller’s wireless signals are exceptionally reliable and secure because they do not rely on ‘line of sight’, as do TV remote controls, but use safe RF signals. Honeywell’s ‘Fast in Fast out’ technology ensures reliable transmission and receipt in the shortest possible time. They operate in the 868 MHz band where no continuous transmissions are allowed and there are few other users.
Seven-day and 24-hour versions are available. An “optimum start” feature, which adjusts the start-up time each morning according to the prevailing temperature and building heat-up characteristics, is built-in but can be deselected during installation. Its automatic time setting feature automatically adjusts the clock for daylight saving time each spring and autumn.
