VOKERA INCREASES AUTOSTOP CONTROL
Due to the success of their innovative Autostop control function on their flagship range of condensing Linea HE boilers, Vokera has extended this function to their Mynute HE range of high efficiency system boilers and the brand new Unica HE combi range.
Vokera introduced the unique Autostop control function in response to requests from landlords, many of whom were experiencing problems gaining access to rented properties to service gas boilers. Autostop can be programmed so that the boiler automatically reverts to standby mode after a pre-defined period of time - such as 12 months - unless it is serviced.
Brand Manager Eleanor Waldron explains “Autostop is exceptionally popular with landlords and local authorities. It is designed to overcome the problem of gaining access to rented properties in order to fulfil legal requirements of annual gas safety checks and servicing obligations.
“It has been such a success on the premium Linea HE range, that we decided to also offer it on our system boiler range – the Mynute and our soon to be launched Unica HE combi range.”
Autostop now comes as standard on all Linea HE, Mynute HE and Unica HE models and can be activated upon request. As the system is integral to the boiler, it cannot be tampered with or disconnected - unlike an external kit.
The installer or service engineer sets the service period interval e.g. 12 months. After 11 months, the control panel on the front of the boiler will start flashing with a message to contact the landlord to arrange for the boiler to be serviced. If the 12 month deadline arrives without the boiler being serviced or checked, it will automatically revert to standby mode.
