VOKERA AWARDED DOUBLE AT BRITISH GAS AWARDS

Leading boiler manufacturer Vokera has won two highly sought after awards for its expertise in the service and supply of spare parts to British Gas.
Vokera’s performance as a supplier of spare parts to British Gas was measured over 15 months as part of British Gas’ Suppliers Towards Excellence Programme (STEP). Since the programme was launched in 1999 British Gas has awarded more than 30 awards.
On March 20 Vokera was presented with two awards; for Best Manufacturer (sector 2) and Most Improved Supplier. The awards were presented to Vokera for consistent high standards of timely deliveries and the accurate provision of information. These critical elements of service help to ensure that British Gas customers continue to receive a high level of service.
The awards were presented at Vokera’s head office. Among those from British Gas to pass on the awards were Peter Beer and Andrew Kingscott, along with members of the British Gas Supplies Function. The awards were presented to Vokera’s Operation Director Terry Asser and the Spares Team from Vokera’s Glasgow office.
British Gas Inventory Manager Peter Beer said: “I am overjoyed that Vokera have won two awards: for best supplier and most improved. I am particularly impressed with the performance of Vokera. They have really turned around the delivery of stock and one time buys, plus massively enhanced the provision of delivery date information. This is a fantastic achievement and Vokera is well deserving of these awards”.
Terry Asser added: “Vokera’s STEP programme success was a credit to the close working relationship we have with British Gas. This has been an extremely positive period for us, and we have used this template of success with British Gas to improve Vokera’s service levels to all of our customers.”
The STEP programme started in 1999 to enable British Gas to understand and drive performance amongst its suppliers, giving them the tools to continually improve service for its customers.
