The all-in-one Chemical Inhibitor
CALMAG LTD, specialists in water conditioning equipment have launched their own chemical inhibitor, which is designed to give restoration and protection – ALL IN ONE BOTTLE.
Over the past period there has been an influx of chemical inhibitors on the market place, which has led to confusion for the end user.
Calmag manufacture the CalChem Total System Protection, which is designed to give a three-way use – restoration, reduction and protection.
The fast reacting liquid is water soluble, non-flammable, and more critically, non-acidic and can therefore be used for all types of systems, including copper and aluminium, and is environmentally friendly.
Packaged in a handy 1 litre bottle the chemical should be added to a system via the filling loop or radiator and then left to circulate, which will then flocculate silt, lubricate valves and pumps, suppress bacterial growth, eliminate the production of gases, and also has an antifreeze added within the product to cope with cold weather.
“After careful consultation and market research we have found that consumers have been confused by the amount of chemical inhibitors on sale and do not really know which ones to use for the optimum effect,” explains Angela Wysocki, MD, “what we have manufactured is a general inhibitor that will give the performance of three other inhibitors, and all in a one litre bottle.”
“This is not a major breakthrough in science, but more of a consolidation of resources to produce a product that is fit for purpose,” adds Angela.
There is no need to add in 3 or 4 different inhibitors as with other products as the CalChem will break down sludge, scale, flux and other debris to restore the heating efficiency of existing systems, prevents boiler noise, cold spots on radiators, pump seizures, reduces maintenance and protects against corrosion damage and limescale formation.
The all-in-one 1 litre bottle is sufficient to clean an average 3-4 bedroom house with a typical domestic central heating system of 10-15 radiators, but also comes in 5, 10 and 25 litre containers for commercial applications.
