SENTINEL SETTLES INTO ITS NEW HOME

Sentinel, the UK’s leading chemical water treatment provider for domestic heating systems, is getting its feet under the desks of its new headquarters in Runcorn, Cheshire.

The company – Sentinel Performance Solutions Limited – has moved from its previous offices in Widnes to a brand new home in nearby Runcorn. The official opening ceremony was celebrated recently by local MP and Transport Minister Derek Twigg MP and by Tony Brunton, President of the Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineers in front of an audience of invited guests from the industry and the local and regional business communities.

Derek Twigg was warm in his praise for Sentinel and offered his congratulations on the significant steps forward the company has taken since its move to new ownership: “We MPs are always keen to welcome quality companies with quality products in our constituencies and I look forward to watching the company grow still further here in the UK with the job opportunities that go with that, especially as it puts in place its plans to expand across Europe.”

IPHE President Tony Brunton was happy to heap praise on Sentinel: “As a working heating engineer, I was impressed by the technical support I was able to get from Sentinel if I needed it,” he said. “The changes in legislation with Part ‘L’ now in force will see the quality products that Sentinel produces even more in demand from the UK’s heating and plumbing installers.”

The company provides a wide range of liquid and concentrate water treatment products to the heating and plumbing trade as well as a number of other products including its market leading Jetflush 4 power flushing unit to clean out central heating systems, removing scale and magnetite sludge from radiators and pipework, and Aquadosa, a revolutionary new product that destroys the cause of legionella by attacking the biofilm that forms in water systems where the legionella bugs grow and multiply.

Sentinel’s Chief Operating Officer is Gary Roebuck: “These new offices provide us with excellent headquarters for the operation. We’re not far from our previous location so we’ve been able to retain our highly valued workforce. We were delighted that Derek Twigg and Tony Brunton were able to join us for the official opening ceremony and that many of the local contractors and merchant suppliers came along to the event.
“What has happened in recent months has allowed us to take Sentinel on, allowing us to maintain and build on the leading position we have in the domestic heating industry and to grow the relationships we have across the sector. Importantly, we are able to expand our product portfolio and introduce exciting new products. The transition from GE ownership to the new set up has been pretty much seamless and we’re very encouraged by the response from existing customers to the changes we have made here.”

Sentinel’s new address is The Heath Business and Technical Park, Runcorn, Cheshire WA7 4QX. The new telephone number is 01928 588 331 and the new fax is 01928 562 071. The new web site can be found at http://www.sentinel-solutions.net/.
