(Watford, 2 May 2007): Damian Nobbs, a self-employed plumber from Minster Lovell in West Oxfordshire, has won a brand new Iveco Daily 35S12 panel van after entering a competition in a national newspaper.

The competition was organised by full range commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco in the run-up to the Commercial Vehicle Show 2007, which was held last week at the NEC in Birmingham (April 24-27).  This provided the first opportunity for Iveco to display its latest Daily range at a major national exhibition, following the vehicle’s launch last October.

The delivery of the 3.5 tonner comes at the perfect time for Damian, who had been considering buying a new van for the past six months.  Its arrival has seen him give up the keys to his existing Nissan Interstar, with the Daily taking over as his primary work vehicle.  “I saw the competition in the Daily Star and decided to pick up the phone and enter, since I needed a new van and the new Iveco Daily really caught my attention,” says Damian, aged 24

“The majority of my work involves installing bathrooms for disabled people, which can mean transporting a lot of raw materials, as well as all my tools and equipment.  This makes driving a van with a good payload and plenty of load space essential, and on first impressions the Daily seems just the ticket,” he adds.

The vehicle was collected from Avonmouth-based Bristol Street Commercials, which supplies the full Daily product line-up including van, semi-window van, chassis cab, chassis crew cab and MPV versions. The Daily 35S12 offers a 12 m³ load carrying capacity; one of eight different load space volumes available from 7 to 17.2 m³.   It is also one of over 2,500 different models in the Daily line-up, with gross vehicle weights from 3.2 to 6.5 tonnes, ensuring there is a suitable vehicle for the needs of every van or light truck operator.
