Typically the nuts joining pumps to valves are seized solid through years of expansion and contraction; the use of sealing compounds or embedded gaskets. If these nuts cannot be released it generally means the whole system requires draining and refilling. This wastes valuable time, unnecessary water wastage and loss of system additives.
Select’s Pump Nut Tool simply wraps around the valve nut and can then be used to shock the nut loose with a hammer and chisel or by applying a large size wrench to loosen the nut without fear of damaging the pump nut itself.
