Stylish and easy to use, yet very simple to install and set up
 

Honeywell has launched the CM900 slimline programmable room thermostat, designed with the installer and user in mind: stylish and easy to use, yet very simple to install and set up.

The CM900 can be used with radiator and underfloor heating, with gas or oil fired boilers including condensing and combination models as well as electric heating or cooling systems.  

It features an extra-large backlit LCD display, dynamic text, a carefully thought-out button layout and user-friendly configuration.  Honeywell has taken great pains to ensure setting up and explanation to the customer are easy, aided by plain English information displayed on the large clear screen. The CM900 and its backplate are already separated in the pack to save time during installation. Stock-holding is minimal as there are just two models, for 24-hour and 7-day operation.  An “optimum start” feature, which adjusts the start-up time each morning according to the prevailing temperature and building heat-up characteristics, is built-in but can be deselected during installation.  The CM900 provides up to six time/temperature changes per day.  It also enables users to select three convenient, comfort-enhancing and energy-saving overrides with a single touch of a button.  “Holiday” reduces the temperature to save energy, yet keeps the chill off if necessary, while the property is unoccupied for up to 99 days; normal temperature control resumes automatically on the day of return.  “Party” provides a temporary setpoint override, for up to 23 hours when it returns automatically to normal operation.  “Day off’ runs Sunday’s program for up to 99 days after which it will automatically return to normal operation, so avoiding the need to reprogram the controller when staying at home during the working week. Its automatic time setting feature automatically adjusts the clock for daylight saving time each spring and autumn.
