New 3D virtual house aids plumbing qualifications

A new way to study City & Guilds, CITB, BPEC and CORGI recognised plumbing qualifications*, using a revolutionary, new, state of the art, interactive, 3D `virtual reality house, in conjunction with theory coursework and practical workshops, has been launched by distance learning specialists, Train 4 Trade Skills Ltd.
The flexible nature of the courses enables participants to train around existing work commitments, regardless of existing plumbing skills, using a combination of home study, the revolutionary virtual `house’ and attending practical workshops at centres around the UK.
The courses are neither gender nor age specific and apply equally to school leavers, part- or non-qualified plumbers or those seeking a career change. Developed at a cost of £100,000, the virtual reality house incorporates problem solving and revision techniques, allowing the `virtual plumber’ to `walk’ around the 3D house, from room to room, and solve real world plumbing problems, attending to heating installations, water supply and bathroom plumbing.
Mike Head, Marketing Manager for Train 4 Trade Skills said “We are offering courses that fit around existing work commitments and open up a combination of ways to study for plumbing qualifications, using a revolutionary approach that combines state of the art technology with hands-on practical work and written theory.
He continued “Students can work at their own pace, complete modules and course work within a flexible time frame and providing attendance targets for practical workshops are met, the certification can be achieved according to each individual’s personal commitments”. I finished the plumbing course 1 year ago. The course gave me a good basic understanding of plumbing, yes they messed up a couple of times but ALL companies do, I’ve had no problem finding working and making a good living. What ever course stick with it, do not give up and best of luck

Impressive. Technology nowadays is really improving. It’s a good news that this enables participants to train around existing work commitments, regardless of existing plumbing skills.

hi, i think i should tell my story as alot of people are getting conned and i dont think it’s fair. train4tradeskills came to my home on the 16th june 2010 after i applied for a application form from there website. He was called dan storey and wore a shiny suit. I read online the man who visited other people done the same. He wanted to know my whole life story, and any money we had coming in. He didn’t seen interested. He told me that there were only a few places on the course and didn’t seem to be interested until my partner said he worked at a warehouse. Then he was very pushy about when he’d get the £100 deposit. In his briefcase all he had was a plumbing brochure, and a run off the computer dvd. I felt good about it. I then went on google as he didn’t tell me where the college was. I then read alot of posts about people being conned out of thousands, the addresses being abandoned buildings. The guy also said he lived in watford, so i then facebooked him and his profile said he lives in newcastle. I think it’s disgusting people do this. I have an 11 week old son to provide for. I am 19 so part the government age for free courses. I want to show my son i can do something .

I can say that the kitchen is one of the areas in the house that people always enjoy decorating. From the walls and tiles to kitchen faucets, sink and other fixtures, there just seems to be endless possibilities here. Anyway, thanks for sharing and I definitely visit here more often.

Solar water systems don’t compromise the water temperature of a home, even though they are less effective in cooler weather. Solar water heaters work in conjunction with the central heating system so that the central heating can be used as a backup when there is not enough heat in the solar powered heater.
