J GESSEY AND SENTINEL UNITE TO BRING WARMTH TO BIRMINGHAM
Wolverhampton-based J Gessey Heating and Plumbing has specified Sentinel products in a scheme that will see them installing or improving the heating systems in around 2,300 privately-owned, North West Birmingham homes.
Where new systems are installed, Sentinel’s X100 inhibitor – a general purpose treatment giving total protection against scale and corrosion – will be used to reduce scale build up. Existing systems will be flushed with X800 Jetflo cleanser using Sentinel’s Jetflush system to remove iron oxide and calcium based deposits and restore optimum efficiency.
Managing Director Jason Gessey said: “We are currently fitting and upgrading around 50 systems per week as part of the Government’s Warmfront Scheme. We chose to use Sentinel products in this programme as they are milder and yet more effective than alternatives we have tried in the past and they offer an excellent training and after-sales support service.”
The scheme aims to provide affordable warmth to all homes and to meet the Decent Homes Standard by 2010. It will ensure that people on lower incomes can keep warm during the winter months and that their fuel bills will be kept to a minimum through the use of optimum efficiency operating systems.
Sentinel’s Area Sales Manager, Clare Hasprey added: “It’s great news that residents in these properties will be able to keep warm without worrying about installation fees and excessive running costs and we are delighted that our products are being used to help achieve this.”
