Grants for Aspiring Plumbers
Grants of up to £1,000 are being made available by The Worshipful Company of Plumbers to help young professionals kick start their careers in the industry.
The bursaries will be offered to a limited number of students who may otherwise suffer financial hardship whilst studying for NVQ Level 3 MES (Plumbing) qualification.
To qualify a student must be under 28 years old and able to demonstrate how the grant will be used to assist in course studies.
Each year the company also presents the Lilli Sara Barber Student Gold award to a plumbing student who displays outstanding ability in terms of academic, practical and craft skills, personality and leadership qualities.
As well as a gold medal the award includes £200 in cash and the chance to become a Freeman of the company. Students must be under 35 to qualify and currently be undertaking, or have completed an NVQ Level 3 course with a major plumbing content during the current year.
Application forms can be obtained by calling 0207 796 2478
