GLOW-WORM INTRODUCES THE XTRAMAX HE – AN ‘A’ RATED BOILER DELIVERING 200L OF INSTANT HOT WATER
High efficiency leader Glow-worm has launched a condensing version of the popular Xtramax boiler. The SEDBUK A rated 33kW Xtramax HE High Performance storage combi delivers fuel savings, NOx class 5 emissions – and up to 200 litres of hot water, instantly.
One of the first condensing combi boilers to deliver all the heating and hot water demands for the larger family home. The Glow-worm Xtramax HE combines useable hot water on demand with an innovative internal store that lets the end-user draw hot water from 2 or 3 taps at the same time and at much higher flow rates than you would normally expect from a combi.
The unique storage tank within the Xtramax HE generates hot water whenever a tap is turned on but by drawing from the store at the same time, it can deliver up to 200 litres of hot water instantly. This is achieved by using water stored within the integral tank whilst simultaneously producing DHW in normal combi mode. Once the tank has been depleted it continues to provide domestic hot water at an impressive 14l/min@35ºC rise.
According to Glow-worm that’s enough for 3 baths and it’s far more than most conventional boiler/hot water tank systems. Furthermore, it recovers quickly - after just 4 minutes you can start all over again.
The Glow-worm Xtramax HE is SEDBUK ‘A’ rated, the highest energy efficiency rating possible and has also achieved a NOx class 5 rating - the best possible for low emissions.
Fitted as standard into the Xtramax HE are an inbuilt bypass, integral filling loop, 2-stage frost protection and anti-seizure controls. The Xtramax HE allows for flue lengths of up to 5m horizontal, 5.5m vertical and 40m twin flue.
This allows for greater flexibility of installation site and, as with all Glow-worm boilers, it benefits from the option of a Plume Management Kit and condensate pump to increase the flexibilities.
