GLOW-WORM IN POOLE WITH HIGH EFFICIENCY HEATING AND HOT WATER CYLINDER…….
In this era of combis being the answer to almost all domestic boiler questions there are still many sites which need a system boiler and a hot water cylinder. The installation may well involve a bit more planning and design but end-user satisfaction is guaranteed, according to Bournemouth installer Tony Comaskey. He has recently completed an installation with a Glow-worm 30sxi boiler along with a 250ltr Glow-worm Unvented Cylinder at the home of a property developer in Poole.
Both boiler and hot water cylinder installations were ‘straightforward’ to Tony but he was especially impressed by the front connections to the Glow-worm hot water cylinder.
“The property is big and rambling and it needed a system boiler to do the job properly. The Glow-worm 30sxi is more than enough for all of the occupant family’s heating and hot water needs but the cylinder will really make a difference to having hot water virtually on demand.”
Tony has been an installer for over 22 years and has been installing Glow-worm boilers all of that time, “I go all the way back to Fuelsaver – I wonder how many installers out there who remember that model!”
“I found Glow-worm’s 30sxi simple to install, and I know from other installations that Glow-worm High Efficiency models are consistent and reliable. The last thing that I – or any other installer – want is a call-back from a customer, and for me, it is virtually unheard of with Glow-worm’s xi range” says Mr Comaskey.
The Glow-worm 30sxi is small, light and includes enough flueing capability to be sited almost anywhere, a utility room in this instance. It has a massive10m horizontal and 10m vertical plus up to 40m of twin flue capability.
Tony used the 250litre Glow-worm hot water cylinder on this site but there are five other sizes to choose from -115, 150, 175, 200 and 300 litres. All of these, including the one installed in Poole, are stylishly designed and aesthetically pleasing mains fed unvented domestic hot water cylinders. They are all manufactured in high-grade stainless steel with all seams laser welded with a 25-year guarantee against any perforation of the shell.
They are packed with installer friendly features and end-user benefits to give years and years and years of robust, trouble-free use. All Glow-worm hot water cylinders are also provided with an auxiliary back up 3kW electric immersion heaters, including operating thermostat and energy cut out.
