GLOW-WORM FLEXICOM COMBIS TICK ALL THE BOXES

The ‘Amazingly Flexible’ combi that combines heating, instant hot water, a direct rear flue option and the smallest installation footprint around’.

The Glow-worm Flexicom cx is the only High Efficiency combi on the UK market with a direct rear flue option – and small enough to be fitted inside a kitchen wall cupboard makes them amazingly flexible in terms of siting.

There are two SEDBUK A rated Flexicom cx combi boilers in 24kW and 30kW outputs and both offer a 5-second hot water response, quiet operation and delivery of 9.6 litres/min and 12.3 litres/min @ 35ºC rise, respectively. Both measure just 700mm height x 390mm width x 280mm depth.

The direct rear flue option on the Flexicom cx, and all, Flexicom boilers is telescopic, so no need to be cut to length. Extensive flueing options of 8 metres vertical and horizontal with 20 metres twin flued are a feature of these new Glow-worm condensing boilers ensuring maximum flexibility when siting the boiler.

The one-piece fixing jig supplied with the Flexicom cx combi ensures the hanging bracket and jig are perfectly aligned, even on uneven wall surfaces. The innovative design of the Flexicom pre-fixing jig allows pre-installation and system testing before the boiler is connected. All copper tails are clip-distance from the wall for easy connection to system pipe work.

There is no need to remove the front casing during installation or commissioning thanks to the specially designed Glow-worm pull out electrical connections block. Another important feature of the Flexicom cx combi is that it can be installed with volt free controls to enable installation without Part P approval.

Ease of installation and siting flexibility are further increased by use of the Glow-worm Plume Management Kit as well as another new innovative accessory, the Condensate Pump. The whole Flexicom range is compatible with the Plume Management Kit, allowing installers more versatility in replacement or even first-fit installations as the plume can be directed away from paths, walkways etc.

The Condensate Pump further improves siting options for the Flexicom range, allowing them to be installed in places with restricted access to condensate drains (e.g. a basement).

Reliability is assured through the utilisation of a high grade cast aluminium heat exchanger which give excellent corrosion resistance and tolerance to system debris, thanks to the large waterways. The heat exchanger material employed on each Flexicom has been used in the automotive industry for years as well as the Dutch heating market. The excellent thermal conductivity of the heat exchanger allows Glow-worm to achieve the small case size of each Flexicom boiler.
